What is Qurbani?
Qurbani (also called Udhiyah) is the sacrifice performed during the days of Eid al-Adha by every adult Muslim of means, in remembrance of Prophet Ibrahim's ﷺ submission to Allah.
A sheep or goat counts as one share for one person or family. A cow or camel can be shared by up to seven people — each contributing one share (1/7).
The meat is divided into three parts: one for the family, one for relatives and neighbours, and one for the poor. Through Amana, your full share is given as Sadaqah to orphans, widows, and families in Egypt.
